Women over the years have been fed the false notion that wearing a bra prevents sagging of the breasts. Apart from firm support for sports women and preventing milk dripping in lactating women, the bra could be doing more harm than good. Bras are said to combat sagging of breasts, especially those who are on the larger side. Aside from that, many of these bras are marketed to provide greater comfort and even less backaches. “A bra will hold up your breasts to give you the shape and look you want, but it can't prevent further sagging, which is caused by age and gravity,” says Dr. Mills.
